As a visual artist, I focus on the human figure as a way to explore emotion, presence, and connection. My work is grounded in a dual pursuit: on one hand, a social gaze that centers those often pushed to the margins, and on the other, a search for serenity, offering visual spaces where calm and introspection can emerge.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences, I have always been drawn to how images speak, how they reflect stories, invite empathy, and generate emotional responses. In my ongoing series portraying people experiencing homelessness, I explore how painting can restore dignity through visibility, using classical techniques to reframe the way we see those who are often unseen.
At the same time, my figurative series like "Mare di Sogni" offers a different kind of presence, one that responds to anxiety and overstimulation by inviting the viewer into states of softness, stillness, and breath. These works depict women partially wrapped in sheets, lying in beds that seem to stretch beyond the canvas, suspended between sleep and awakening. In them, serenity becomes tactile, and intimacy becomes a shared space.
Both paths are central to my practice. Whether addressing social invisibility or inner turmoil, my work seeks to offer a human encounter, one that touches, questions, and soothes. I see painting not just as representation, but as a refuge, a bridge, and a form of care.
